On Thursday week, August 28, Rachel Lane and I will be guest speakers at the Mark Moran Vaucluse – Speaker Series, which will be discussing a new model of retirement living planned for Vaucluse in Sydney. The aim of this event is to educate the community while providing insights around a new lifestyle concept. The new facility is designed for the young at heart with ongoing care if required, and is planned to open in Vaucluse in 2016. The location is unique, and the plans for what is proposed look fantastic.

The venue for the function is the Royal Motor Yacht Club, 21 Wunulla Road, Point Piper, and will take the form of a morning tea which will start at 10.00am and finish at noon. Admission is free, but you will need to call Catherine or Kate on 1300 828 258 to secure a place. Registrations are coming in fast so I wouldn’t delay.

My topic, once again, will be The Ten Mistakes Retirees Make, and speakers from The Mark Moran Group will talk about pricing, costs, and the structures around title and legislation of retirement living. Many of you will be surprised by the Mark Moran Group’s fresh approach to the traditional retirement village that combines all levels of care. Mark Moran’s award winning reputation in positive ageing and care is innovative and recognized internationally.

This event will give you the chance to understand the aspects of living in a retirement community, from the moment you move in to when you leave, and how the recent changes to retirement village legislation offer greater consumer protection.

Look forward to seeing you there.
