Pension Planning

Pension Planning

“Wisdom outweighs any wealth.” – Sophocles

Most retired couples make out wills leaving all their assets to each other. This can cause problems when one dies because of the aged pension eligibility rules: the surviving partner often finds themselves over the assets test cut-off point. Thus they lose their pension at the same time as they have lost their loved one. At the regular review of your affairs make sure you understand the implications of death and change your will if appropriate.
