If you don’t like where you are, change it! You’re not a tree.
Here we are at the end of January – how quickly that month has passed. We spent most of it at Sunshine Beach, and shared heaps of time with our nine grandchildren – it’s a wonderful feeling to watch them growing up. The eldest is now nine, and the youngest is five months. I also celebrated my 79th birthday which means I am now in my 80th year. It’s a time to reflect, because I’m now about 120 months from the age of 90, and the month of January has gone in a flash. Only 119 left so it’s important to make the most of them.
My mate Scott, who was my best friend at high school, rang me on my birthday to tell me that he was also in his 80th year. He recently went to his doctor and, according to Scott, the doctor said “you’ve now entered the 80s – it’s a wonderful time – no more worry about diets and cholesterol. Just enjoy it.”
