On Friday 7 November, I’ll be joining superannuation guru Monica Rule for the seminar she is giving in Sydney. You couldn’t find a better educator. Monica was a senior staff member of the tax office, until I convinced her to go into business for herself so she could share her knowledge with a wider audience.

Also attending will be Chris Cuffe, well known industry executive and Chairman of Unisuper; and his colleague and editor at the free investment newsletter Cuffelinks (https://www.cuffelinks.com.au) – Graham Hand, who will be presenting on self managed super fund (SMSF) portfolio construction and giving us a secret peek inside his own fund.

I regard Chris Cuffe and Graham Hand as two of the smartest people in the country, and this will be a rare chance to talk to them firsthand. I do hope you’ll make the effort to be there. Like me, they are giving their time free of charge in the hope of lifting the educational standards of the Australian investing public.

It is an all day seminar focusing on the common errors made by SMSF trustees. Can you believe that over a third of the emails I receive every day are from people trying to run their own fund, and who are asking the most basic questions. If you have a self managed super fund, I strongly recommend you come along. Full details are available at Monica’s websitehttps://www.monicarule.com.au.
